Recently, Blake and I got to travel to Mexico for one of our best friend’s wedding! This was my first time attending a destination wedding, and it was such a blast. We not only got to see two amazing people we love get married, but have an amazing vacation with all of our friends! We stayed at the El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya (near Cancun). I highly recommend this resort! The food, service, amenities, and beach were all absolutely amazing. I will add some pictures of our trip following this post so you can see a little bit more of the resort!
I am including Bri and Maddie and their outfits in my Mexico blog posts because they were so cute the entire trip! Bri and Maddie are married to/dating a couple of Blake and I’s friends from high school. I felt really lucky and was happy to get along so well with these girls our guy friends brought into our group. They have become some of my close friends, and it’s always nice to not be the only girl!
For today’s post I will talk about my current romper obsession. I love the versatility rompers provide; they are very easy to dress up and down. They are definitely a staple piece that should be invested in this summer!! Word to the wise though, I recommend always trying them on before buying one. I struggle to find rompers that do not make me look like I’m wearing a diaper… Haha anyone else struggle with this?! But once I find one that flatters me, I always get it! Bri, Maddie, and I all wore rompers to the rehearsal dinner 🙂
This floral print romper is from Free People. I absolutely love the off the shoulder sleeves and the flowy/boho look is right up my alley! Free People is probably my all time favorite place to shop, but I have to really reign in my purchases because it can be quite pricey. But, every once in a while I like to treat myself to one of their pieces. 🙂 My favorite pair of shoes for the season are these sandals. They are by Dolce Vita, and have a little bit of a wedge which add a little lift while still being super comfy. I recently ordered another color! My bag is a Tory Burch sling I got a couple years ago. I have linked similar brown leather bags here and here.
Maddie’s romper is from Francesca’s! I love the floral pattern and ruffled detail at the bottom. Her shoes are from Charming Charlie’s! They are perfect for summer, and can easily be dressed up or down. The quality of these shoes are amazing and they are only $35!!
Bri’s romper is from Francesca’s as well! I love the high neckline and tropical floral pattern. Her sandals are from American Eagle, which are only $30! If you haven’t yet, make sure to check out American Eagle’s sandals here. They have tons of styles, with great prices!
Hope y’all enjoyed this post! I am going to add a few pictures from our trip 🙂 In my next post, I will add pictures from the actual wedding!
