NYC Travel Guide

Where to Stay

  • Park Lane Hotel – Book a park view. So worth it (as seen in the pic above). Also has good size rooms.
  • Hudson Hotel – Very trendy hotel near Columbus Circle. Small rooms but still a cool place to stay!
  • Lotte New York Palace – If you are willing to pay a little extra for a super nice hotel, do this one! I’ve stayed here with my family and it was amazing.
  • Nomo Soho – Beautiful hotel in my favorite area, Soho!

Where to Eat

  • Black Tap – The best burgers & iconic milkshakes
  • Boat House Central Park – Gorgeous restaurant looking over the prettiest part of Central Park
  • Catch NYC – Amazing sea food for anytime of the day but recommended for dinner.
  • Sarahbeth’s – Great Brunch menu
  • Jacob’s Pickle – Southern-accented comfort food.
  • Flip Sigi – Small restaurant/bar in West Village. Great food & love the mandarine orange based Margs.
  • Nomo Soho – Another great brunch/lunch spot
  • Golden Unicorn – We went here in China town for authentic Chinese dim sum. My best friend’s boyfriend is half Chinese and brought us here, it was amazing!
  • Jongro Korean BBQ – A hidden Korean BBQ restaurant in K-town you have to go in an elevator and the 2nd floor opens up to the restaurant. This was Blake’s favorite spot to eat
  • Max Brenners – The chocolate chunks pizza. That is all you need!
  • Masion Premiere Oyster Bar– Great cajun style food in Brooklyn.
  • Babbo – A nice Italian restaurant in Little Italy!
  • Red Farm – A farm to table Asian fusion restaurant. I love the soup dumplings!
  • Chelsea Market – One of the greatest indoor food halls in the world! Also has some good shopping with local vendors.
  • Plaza Food Hall – Located downstairs below the plaza is an amazing assortment of restaurants, bakeries, & Coffee shops. Love coming here for a quick breakfast.
  • John’s Pizza – A great sit down place to go for New York style pizza located right by Time Square.
  • Joe’s Pizza – A quick grab by the slice piece of New York style pizza. Famously known.
  • The Mermaid Inn – The perfect place for lunch or brunch. Serves raw oysters as well!
  • Taiyaki – An ice cream shop near china town with an assortment of flavors and toppings but famous for their matcha green tea ice cream! Served in a waffle cone that looks like a fish.
  • Hallal Guys – Mediterranean style street food. There’s only 3 original carts in NYC! Make sure to go to an original.
  • The Doughnuttery – Mini donuts that you can add toppings and dipping sauces to. Located in Chelsea Market and The Plaza Food Hall.
  • Luke’s Lobster – Awesome lobster rolls and lobster corn chowder
  • Magnolia Bakery – Famous bakery in NYC. Get the Bread Pudding!

Where to get Drinks/Coffee

  • Ralph’s Coffee – My favorite coffee shop in NYC located in Ralph Lauren on the Upper Eastside. Get a Mochaccino!
  • 230 fifth Rooftop Bar– Rooftop bar with a clear shot view right at the Empire State building. Good drinks with a super cool atmosphere.
  • Sugar Factory– Be prepared for a sugar high. But the presentation of this drink is amazing! They also put candy in your drinks which is cool.
  • Don’t Tell Mama– Fun piano bar with a whole lot of talented singers!
  • Plaza Food Hall– Love getting coffee here in the morning before walking around Central Park.
  • Barbacon– Beer and bacon flights. Enough said!
  • The Standard Biergarten – Fun atmosphere right under the High Line! Great drinks!
  • Mr. Purple– Another fun/trendy rooftop bar with great drinks.

What to do

  • Top of the Rock– A great view of the city and great picture opts! 
  • Broadway Shows– Seeing a show is one of my favorite things to do in NYC! So many good ones to choose from.
  • World Trade Center Memorial & Museum– Truly one of the most amazing museums I have ever been to. Beautifully done, and very emotional. 
  • Statue of Liberty– We took the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty and I got sea sick… I will never do that again but it’s worth it to see once! Or just look at it from Battery park.
  • Empire State building – Another great view of the city!
  • Brooklyn Bridge– Walk across the famous bridge! It’s beautiful with great views.
  • Central Park– There is seriously SO much to do in Central Park. Walk around, eat, ice skate, ride bikes, jog, have a picnic, or even go to the zoo! They always have a lot of stuff going on. 
  • Bryant Park– I absolutely love Bryant park. It is so cute & quaint with food Kiosks and great holiday shopping. It’s truly a sight to see around Christmas time!
  • SHOPPING! Of course the shopping in NYC is amazing. It’s hard for me to break this down because there is literally shopping everywhere. But my FAVORITE area for shopping is in Soho.

    Gosh I love NYC. The last time we went we ate at a pizza place on the Brooklyn side and then walked back across the bridge. As soon as we started walking it started snowing. It was so awesome. Pinning for a future trip for sure!
