Thanksgiving Day Outfit & Blanket Scarf Tip

Can y’all believe that Thanksgiving is tomorrow?! I feel that the older I get the quicker holidays seem to come and go. So, I encourage you to soak up every moment you have with family & friends over the holiday season. It’s so easy to get caught up in the stress that can come along with the holidays (finances, cooking, shopping). Give yourself moments to bake cookies with friends, sit down and watch a holiday movie, make hot coco, or simply plan time to do nothing & just RELAX.

In today’s post I am sharing a little Thanksgiving Day outfit inspiration, featuring this beautiful blanket scarf. I styled this white flowy top by Free People with my favorite pair of black distressed jeans from Nordstrom. This white top is so lightweight, & flatters every body type. I bought this top in a couple other colors as well because I love it so much! It also has thumb holes which is my favorite part 🙂 My black felt hat is from Target & I love the brown braided leather detail! The booties I am wearing are by Sperry & I have worn the heck out of them. They are the most comfortable pair of booties!

Finally for the piece that pulls the whole look together… this gorgeous blanket scarf! Ilymix sent me this soft & cozy blanket scarf just in time for me to enjoy the cool front that just came in here in Texas! The colors, along with the plaid print, are perfect for fall & winter. Ilymix has been kind enough to give y’all a 20% off discount code that can be used for the entire website! Make sure to use code ALLTHINGSBLUSH20 to purchase a beautiful blanket scarf for yourself or as a gift for someone else for the holidays! I may or may not have already ordered a couple other prints…

Now I would like to share a little tip with y’all on how I like to make my blanket scarves work for me… the one thing I do not like about a blanket scarf is how bulky they can be due to excess fabric! One day I was on Pinterest and saw that someone cut their blanket scarf in half to make it drape less bulky around the neck. I gave it a try and absolutely loved the result! I did that with this scarf so it didn’t look or feel as overwhelming. I will leave a picture below showing which angle to cut the blanket scarf.

Also, I gave the other half of my scarf to my super cute photographer & made her take a picture in it 🙂 Make sure to check out her work at Madison Bickham Photography. I hope y’all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
